David Otis Cordell, 61, of Fishers, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana. He was born June 22, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio. David was a member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church. He coached for Fishers Sports Program and U.S. Athletics Summer Baseball. He was also involved with Indiana Elite All Star Cheerleading. He graduated from both Wilbur Wright High School and University of Cincinnati. He previously worked in sales at Allison Transmission. He currently was working at Hamilton Southeastern Schools in the transportation department. He is survived by his wife, Mona Cordell of Fishers; son, Jon Cordell; daughter, Maggie Cordell; brother, Larry Cordell; sisters, Lou Cordell and Debbie (Keith) Addis; and nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by mother, Luceritia "Pat" Cordell and nephew, James Addis.Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, with a Rosary Service beginning at 7:30 PM. Services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Road, in Fishers, with a visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Father Patrick Click will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to David Otis Cordell Scholarship Fund.
