David "Les" Gerber, 89, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton. He was born on February 7, 1925 to David and Dessie (Cook) Gerber in Noblesville, Indiana.
For 30 years, David was a carpenter for contractor John Fisher, and was then self-employed. He was an avid fisherman, and liked to gamble.
David is survived by his daughters, Tammy Eller, and Roxanne Gerber; son, Ron (Deborah) Gerber; brothers, Larry Gerber, and Doug Gerber; and grandsons, Jeff, Matt and Mike Gerber, Travis Leeman, and Alex Heffelmire.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta L. Gerber on October 8, 2011; and siblings, Bill & Mac Gerber, Betty McNally, and Ruth King.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 15, 2014, at Crownland Cemetery, 1776 Monument Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor Rick Huffman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Strawtown Community Church, c/o Rick Huffman, 175 Sierra Drive, Cicero, IN 46034.
