David M Johnson, Sr.

David M. Johnson Sr., 83, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on February 12, 1931 to Carl and Ruth (Mottley) Johnson in Louisville, Kentucky.
David received his Bachelor's & Master's degrees from the University of Louisville. He worked as a Chemist for Allison Transmission, and previously for Glass Containers in Indianapolis, and Corhart Refractories in Louisville, KY. David was a 60-year member of the Louisville Masonic Lodge, and received the Meritorious Service award from the Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Murat Shrine and of Northwood Christian Church, and a lifetime member of the American Chemical Society. David enjoyed model railroading, was a member of the New Horizon Band, and played in the Scottish Rite Orchestra. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.
David is survived by his wife, Christine Johnson; sons, David M. (Michele) Johnson, Jr., and John Andrew "Drew" (Christina) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Cindy Johnson; grandchildren, Hilary (Aaron) Seegers, Phillip (Ashley) Johnson, Jennifer (Scott) Kail, Allison Johnson, and Vivian Johnson; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dan Johnson, on November 28, 2010; and brother, Carl Johnson, Jr.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor Ron Larsen and Pastor Patrick Propst officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
