David A. Kriehn, 66, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on February 6, 1951 to Gordon and Eleanor (Bischoff) Kriehn in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
David graduated from Northwestern University and received a Masters of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He and Joan served as missionaries to Taiwan from 1988-2001. David was a manager for Famous Dave's BBQ in Indianapolis, and enjoyed gardening, reading, and crossword puzzles. He also loved to bake, with bread as his specialty. Most of all, David enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan Kriehn; father, Gordon Kriehn; children, Greg (Renee) Kriehn, Kristi (Pete) Powell, Jeff (Erin) Kriehn, and Laura (Jonathan) Pilarski; brother, Richard (Barb) Kriehn; and ten grandchildren, Olivia, Andrew, Leah & Daniel Kriehn, Arianna, Conner & Brielle Powell, and Emma, Ethan & Elijah Kriehn. David's mother, Eleanor Kriehn, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation from 4:00 pm to the time of service.
