David Lopez, 71, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born on January 10, 1941 to Leonardo Garcia and Felipa Lopez in Edinburg, Texas.
David retired in 2001, after being a buyer for Chrysler for 38 years. During his employment with Chrysler, he worked in the Indianapolis, Mexico, Detroit & Kokomo market areas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Lakeview Wesleyan Church in Noblesville and the Noblesville Gideon Chapter. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, NY Yankees & NASCAR; and loved being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carolyn Lopez; daughter, Kelly (Dennis) Lopez Dillon; sons, Tracy (Mayela) Lopez & Dean (Thekla) McCoy; daughter, Kelly (Dan) Cook; two brothers, Jose Garcia & Manuel Garcia; three sisters, Alejandrina Garcia, Yolanda Redington & Sandra Quintanilla; and 14 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Humberto Garcia; and a sister, Andrea Araguz.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 11, 2012, at Lakeview Wesleyan Church, 396 Park Street in Noblesville, with Dr. Rich Schenk officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
