David A. Mumper, 60, of Westfield, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016 at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital. He was born on November 17, 1955 to the late Arthur and Marion (Claeys) Mumper in Bethesda, Maryland.
David was a graduate of St. Leo University, and for 8 years worked as a purchasing manager for Economy Plumbing. He was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and of the Purchasing Managers Association. David sang bass in the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, and loved history and genealogy.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elaine M. Mumper; sons, Gregory (Angella) Mumper and Matthew Claeys (Jennifer) Mumper; daughters, Patricia Rachel (Thomas) Arvin and Sharon Theresa (Aaron) Baker; brothers, John (Susan) Mumper and Michael Mumper; sisters, Joanne Kirk and Theresa (Thomas) VanDuyn; five grandchildren, Danté, Gabriel, Maggie, Elliott and Malachi; and nephew, Andrew James (Ai-Mei) Mattocks.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 8, 2016 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17102 Springmill Road in Westfield, with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Kevin Haines will officiate. A private family committal service will be held at a later date.
