David Lee Shanks
David Lee Shanks, 79, Carmel, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born November 3, 1930 in Mace, Indiana to John B. and May V. (Jarvis) Shanks.
David worked for The Paul E. Estridge Corporation, building custom homes. He was a 1949 graduate of Noblesville High School; and a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Carmel.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Marilyn Jo Moon (Larry) West; a daughter, Dawn (Mark) Shanks-Lynch; three sons, Brian (Karen) Shanks, Tim Shanks & Brad Shanks; and one grandson, Justin Shanks.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Carroll Shanks; and his sister, Betty (Shanks) Lennartz.
Friends may gather with the family in celebration of his life at Dooley O'Toole's, 160 E. Carmel Drive, Carmel, Indiana, on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 5:00 - 8:00PM.
