David P. Zimmerman

David P. Zimmerman, 84, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born on May 29, 1928 to Otis A. and Lelah (Peck) Zimmerman in Indianapolis, Indiana.
David retired from Wolf Technical Services in 1995. He had also worked as an engineer for Naval Avionics for 32 years, and operated an auto repair shop for 46 years. He was a U.S. Air Force Captain; a member of Victory Chapel Community Church in Noblesville and Wayside Baptist Church in Lake Wales, Florida; a Past Master of the Westfield Masonic Lodge; Past Patron of the Westfield Eastern Star; and a member of Gideon's International and the Society of Automotive Engineers. David attended Westfield Schools; graduated from Arsenal Technical High School; and was a 1950 graduate of Purdue University.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Zimmerman; son, D. Allen (Carol) Zimmerman; daughters, Cathie Zimmerman & Caryn L. (Jim) Lance; five grandchildren; and seven stepchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by former wives, Orva Mae Zimmerman & Sara Zimmerman; and his adoptive mother, Marie H. Zimmerman who raised him.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Victory Chapel Community Church, 13350 E. 216th St in Noblesville, with Pastor Andrew Marshall officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 18, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St in Noblesville. There will be a Masonic service on Friday at 7:00 pm immediately following the visitation at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
