Dean Hubert Eikenberry

Dean Hubert Eikenberry, 97, of Fishers, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.  He was born on April 27, 1920 in Flora, Indiana.
Dean proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Force during World War II.  For 30 years, he worked in the Truck & Bus Division of General Motors, retiring in 1976.  Dean was a member of Chapel Rock Christian Church and loved to sing Gospel music and church hymns.  He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage. Dean and his wife enjoyed camping with the family, and were both members of the Civil Defense Corps. in the 1950s and 1960s.  He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved everyone and was much loved. 
Dean is survived by his daughter, Pamela K. (Dave) Deane; two grandchildren, Eric Freeland and Jill Glenn; and two great-grandchildren, Morgan Dean Freeland and Chloe Caroline Freeland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Audrey Luella Eikenberry in 2014.
Services are private.  Dean's family has entrusted his care to Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary.
