Deborah S. Jones, 66, of Gaston, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born on October 16, 1950 to Vernon and Marion (Deusser) Strawn in Indianapolis, Indiana.
For 10 years, Deborah was a regional sales manager for Colonial Bakery, and then retired from Red Gold after 16 years in quality control. She was a member of East Jackson Street Church of God in Muncie. Deborah had a love for all animals and loved rescuing pets.
She is survived by her mother, Marion Strawn; son, Christopher (Valerie) Terry; brother, William Strawn; and sister, Linda (Mike) Gibson. Deborah was preceded in death by her father.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at East Jackson Street Church of God, 6113 E Jackson Street, in Muncie.
Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Rescue Fund, 1209 W. Riggin Road, Muncie, IN 47303.
