Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at St. Marks United Methodist Church for Dennis D. Lee, 65, of Carmel, who died on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born on October 16, 1945 to Willard and Dorothy (Smith) Lee in Emporia, Kansas. His parents preceded him in death.
Dennis graduated from Burlingame High School in 1963, then went on to the College of Engineering at Kansas State University where he graduated in 1968. He worked for the Federal Highway Administration for 42 years as a Highway Engineer. Dennis was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church where he was an usher and played trombone in the orchestra. He also was a very avid golfer, loved hiking and was a huge Kansas States University Wildcats fan.
He is survived by wife, Gail Lee of Carmel, IN, son, Michael Edward Lee of Carmel, IN, son, Daniel Patrick Lee of Carmel, sister, Linda Lee of Washington D.C., sister, Ronda Grace of Overbrook, KS, sister, Jana Lee of Overbrook, KS.
