Dennis L. Zelhart

Dennis Lee Zelhart, 84, of Fishers, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Countryside Family-First Senior Living in Anderson.  He was born on December 19, 1939 to Elmer and Jeanette (Gevert) Zelhart in Chicago, Illinois.

For 35 years, Dennis worked for Western Electric/AT&T as a tool and die maker.  He coached little league baseball and was a member of Hamilton 533 Masonic Lodge.  Dennis served at the Fishers Community Volunteer Fire Department back in the 60s and 70s, and was chief in 1969.  He enjoyed working in the machine shop as well as hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jennifer Zelhart; sister, Rene Woods; and brothers, John Zelhart and Mike Zelhart.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Eulogy and comments will begin at 2:30 pm at the funeral home.
