Denny was born in the farm house on the property of Hobby Horse Farm in West Carmel. Through his father he developed a love for animals, especially horses. Denny would assist with the farms fox runs as a young boy. He joined the United States Air Force and served his country during the Korean War. It was during his military service that he was trained as an electrician. After discharge from the Air Force he worked as a general foreman for Public Services. Denny had been a Deputy Sheriff in Westfield, a school bus driver, as well as other occupations.
He married the love of his life, "Rusty", on April 6, 1959. They spent many years together and had two sons that they raised. Denny is known for his strong work ethic and willingness to always lend a helping hand.
After many years with Public Service, he started his own electrical company, DC Electric. Denny taught both of his sons the electrical skills they needed and they both worked alongside him on many buildings within Noblesville. He and Rusty moved to Southern Indiana in their retirement years and enjoyed 25 years caring for a 10 acre property that they both dearly loved. They developed many lasting friendships in Southern Indiana and he was very involved in the community. Denny was a member of the DoLittle Mills Christian Church as well as The Branchville Masonic Lodge. He was known by friends and loved ones for always wearing a cowboy hat. He enjoyed deer hunting and gardening.
