Denzel Lucile (Snyder) Hufford, 98, Noblesville, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. She was born September 9, 1910 in Noblesville to James O. and Lillie Bell (Morris) Snyder.
Denzel was a 1928 graduate of Noblesville High School, and had attended IU, where she was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. She retired from the Sears Catalog Store in Noblesville. She was a member of First Christian Church in Noblesville, Tri Kappa Sorority, the Democratic Party of Hamilton County, a charter member of NPA (Noblesville Preservation Alliance), and several Bridge Clubs. She was a Master Gardner; had a passion for caning chairs; and was a memer of Huckeepudler Rug Hooking Association.
She is survived by daughter, Adele Dodd of Noblesville; grandson, Chad (& Mary) Dodd of Kansas; and four grandchildren, Tia Mills, Aaron Mills, Caitlin Dodd, and Ali Dodd.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin 'Red' Hufford in 1977; and a granddaughter, Dodi Dodd Mills in 2001.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, June 29, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Rev. Stanley R. Suton officiating. Friends may call Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 3:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
