Donald Wayne Crowder Sr.

Donald Wayne Crowder Sr., 78, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Riverview Health in Noblesville.  He was born on March 28, 1942 to Jessie and Rose (Chastain) Crowder in Clinton, Indiana.

For over 25 years, Donald was a church caretaker and kind keeper for Calvary Apostolic Church where he unlocked doors, announced prayer time, and was known as the Cough Drop Guy.

He is survived by his children, Thelma (Mark) Campbell, Ethel (Dennis) Warner, Rick (Megan) Kelley, Charlotte Jones, Donald (Rachael) Crowder, Amanda (Rob) Cook, and Patrick Bastain; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and his brother, James Crowder.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Ladean Crowder; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Hazel M. Wood; and brother, Jessie W. Crowder Jr.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Calvary Apostolic Church, 16400 Cumberland Road in Noblesville, with visitation from 11:30 am to the time of service at the church.  Bro. Bryan Tanton officiating.  Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
