Donald L. Halsema, 84, of Fishers, IN, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on November 24, 1930 to Lambert and Vivian (Simmonds) Halsema in Tippecanoe County, Indiana.
For 42 years, Don worked in Home Office Data Processing for State Farm Insurance. He was a member of Eddyville, KY United Methodist Church, an avid golfer, and a Certified Master Gardener. He enjoyed traveling, and was a huge basketball fan.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son, Donald (Shirley) Halsema; daughters, Kim (James) Crews, Debbie (Gerald) Prochnow, Peggy (Kenn) Reinhardt, and Jane (Michael) Broshous; and one sister, Helen (Jack) Fillipponi. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence, Warren, and Joseph.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date at Eddyville United Methodist Church.
