Donald R. Wolf, 85, of Fishers, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020. He was born on April 19, 1934 to Joseph and Marian (Liebel) Wolf in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Don proudly served his country in the United States Army. In 1958, he married Carol Eigabroadt. Don worked and retired as a business planner for US Steel. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish at Geist and formerly St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Merrillville, IN.
Don graduated from Cathedral Prep High School in Erie, PA where he was a member of the undefeated 1952 city football champs. He received his Civil Engineering Degree from University of Detroit where he played football. Don was an avid sports fan and was very busy with his 16 grandkids activities.
In addition to his parents and his loving wife of 53 years, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Wolf; and sister, Carolyn (Glenn) Thompson.
Don is survived by his eight children, Michael Wolf, Susan (Kevin) Ward, Sally Wolf, Timothy (Lisa) Wolf, Mary Ellen Wolf, Ann (Pete) Rankovich, Kevin (Michelle) Wolf, and Brian (Michelle) Wolf; plus 16 grandchildren, Hilary (Randy) Mann, Gabriel and Clancy Wolf, Sean (Kylann) Ward, Molly (Zack) Dwenger, Ryan Ward, Megan, Nicholas, Matthew, Katrina, Beau, Grant, Nathan, Brady, Cullen, and Carleigh Wolf.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way in Fishers, with visitation from 9:00 am to the time of Mass at the church. Rev. Dan Gartland will officiate. A meal will follow Mass at the church. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the “adding bricks to God’s kingdom” building campaign at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, IN 46037.
