Donna Catherine Hoover, 71, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 29, 2013 at her home in Westfield, Indiana. She was born on December 4, 1941 in Kentland, Indiana to Gerald and Helen (Brost) Sondgerath.
In 1964, Donna graduated from St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana with a degree in elementary education. Donna taught for numerous years, both within the Rensselaer School Corporation and at the "TreeTop House," a preschool she owned and operated on St. Joseph's campus. Donna was a former member of St. Augustine Catholic Parish in Rensselaer, Indiana and a St. Joseph's College Fellow.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of forty-nine years, David H. Hoover, and her three children: Erica E. (Joseph) Aker of Indianapolis, Peter C. Hoover of Noblesville, and Thaddeus J. "Ted" (Susan) Hoover of Louisville, KY. Donna is also survived by one granddaughter, Makena Hoover of Noblesville, and three sisters; Judy Panich of Carmel, IN, Sandy (Dale) Fallat of Zionsville, IN, and Cheryl (Thomas) Sims of Cicero, IN.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her three brothers, Donald, Herbert and Thomas Sondgerath.
Visitation will be Thursday, 4:00pm - 8:00pm with Rosary to follow Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, Indiana. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 11:00am at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17102 Springmill Road, in Westfield, Indiana with Father Kevin Haines officiating.
Contributions in Donna's memory may be made to the educational fund that she had established for granddaughter Makena.
