Doris Jean Gunion, 84, formerly of Noblesville, IN passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Brooksville Regional Hospital in Spring Hill, FL. She was born on October 24, 1927 to Carl and Ruth (Branson) Partlow in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Doris had been a welder & solderer with RCA and Curtiss in Westfield, IN. She enjoyed painting, bingo, casinos, fishing and was an avid traveler. She attended Tech High School in Indianapolis.
She is survived by daughter, Dona (Vernon) Thompson; five grandchildren, Angela Maria (Ryan) Rager, Anthony V. (Ella) Thompson, Melissa Ann Thompson, Robbie Gunion & Relinda Miller; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and special friend, Jimmy Beeman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Robert W. Gunion; and brother, Carl Partlow Jr.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor Mark Fiddler officiatiing. Visitation will be Friday, September 7, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cicero Cemetery in Cicero.
