Doris Jackson

Doris Mae Jackson , 89, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Riverview Hospital. She was born on January 8, 1925 to Linzia and Esther (York) Fortner in Hillsdale, Indiana.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Daryl) Worley; sons, Phillip (Deborah) Jackson, and Randall (Roberta) Jackson; sister, Naomi Hawkins; grandchildren, Christine (David) Agee, Charlene (Deane) Bruner, Phillip Corey Jackson, Christopher Jackson; great-grandchildren, Nathan & Grace Jackson, and Ryan, Rachel, Sarah Agee & Isabella Bruner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn A. Jackson.
A memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Burial will be at Helt's Prairie Cemetery in Clinton.
In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Season's Hospice Foundation, 8350 S. Emerson Avenue, Suite 140, Indianapolis, IN 46237.
Born and raised in Hillsdale, Indiana, Doris graduated from Hillsdale High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Vaughn Jackson in December of 1942. Living in both Florida and Indiana, Doris loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Many friends and family members enjoyed Doris's love for cooking! Time spent in the kitchen meant ham and potato salads were in the refrigerator for all to taste! Fond memories from Lake Shafer included great friends and more family time, where everyone couldn't get enough of "Grandma's yummy dip"! A warm and loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother, Doris will be remembered and loved by all who knew her.
