Doris Jones

Doris Maude Jones , 65, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at her home.  She was born on October 16, 1955 to Willard and Emma (Hammonds) Knight in Noblesville, Indiana.

Doris retired from the Chrysler transmission plant in Kokomo and was a very hard worker.  She formerly attended Calvary Apostolic Church and enjoyed camping and visiting the beach, especially Gulf Shores, Alabama.  In her younger years, Doris enjoyed roller skating.  She was a very loving mom, grandmother and wife, and will be dearly missed by everyone.

Doris is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gary Jones; daughter, Jenny (Trent) Altherr; grandchildren, Brianna Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson, Cody (Allie) Altherr, Hailey Altherr, and Schyler Altherr; siblings, Windle (Honey) Knight, Brenda Sharpe, Shirley (Richard) Nixon, and Timmy (Linda) Knight; as well as several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Knight; sister, Linda Marilyn Chapman; father-in-law, Bill Jones; and mother-in-law, Geneva Wells.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, with visitation starting at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with Rev. Bryan Tanton officiating.  Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
