Doris L. McVey

Doris L. McVey, 84, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on March 16, 1927 to Shirl and Gladys (Brown) Purkey in Noblesville , Indiana.
Doris worked at Delco-Remy for 36 years and retired in 1982.
She is survived by son, Dennis (Terry) McVey; daughter, Sherry Dugger; sister, Joann Stout; brother, Jack (Marilyn) Purkey; four grandchildren: Kyle McVey, Ben McVey, Kristen (Andy) Hancock, and Kayla Dugger; plus two great-grandchildren: Gavin and Alana Hancock.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James McVey in 1982; her sister, Helen Beaver; and three brothers: Bud Purkey, Mark Purkey, and Paul Purkey.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
