Mrs. D. Eileen Armstead was born on November 22, 1924 to James Andrew and Clara Ethel (Scott) Hall in Easton, Illinois.
She graduated high school. Eileen married William E. Armstead in Boulder, Colorado on October 29, 1949. Mr. Armstead passed away on May 5, 2004. Mrs. Armstead retired from the State of Colorado Division of Employment in April of 1982, after 32 years. She did volunteer work at the Boulder County Treasurer's Office for several years thereafter. Mrs. Armstead passed away on October 12, 2016. She enjoyed reading, music, walking for exercise and keeping in touch with family members on the phone, the computer and through many cards and letters. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed watching or listening to every game possible.
Mrs. Armstead is preceded in death by her husband William Armstead, parents James and Clara Hall, two brothers James (Laura) Hall and Charles (Bernadine) Hall, and four sisters Velma (Pete) Everist, Lucille (Winfred) Lussenhop, Marie Hansen, and Betty (Donald) White.
She is survived by nephews Donald (Sandy) Everist, John (Bev) Lussenhop, and Timothy Andrew (Brenda) White; nieces Norma (Stan) Maslowski, Cyndy Hall, Mary Susan Luther, Jill Lorene (Sean) McCarthy, Jody Dawn (Matthew) Hook and Tracy Eileen White; grand-nephews Chet Robert Dixon, John Dean (Kristen) Luther, George William (Megan) Luther, Connor Patrick (Andrea) McCarthy, Charles Joseph Luther, Jacob Donald Hook, Luke Samuel Hook; grand-nieces Kimberly Lussenhop, Tammy Lussenhop, Samantha Laura White, Katy Ya Ling Hook, and Anna Grace Hook; and great-grand-nephew, Preston George Luther.
Mrs. Armstead will have a family-only, graveside service to be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Boulder, Colorado.
