Douglas McArthur Cox, 77, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Riverview TCU in Noblesville. He was born on February 16, 1942 to Joe and Ethel (Sproles) Cox in Lee County, Virginia.
Doug worked as a carpenter and owned a small vending company. He proudly served in the National Guard and was a member of the American Legion and past member of the Eagles Lodge. Doug loved life!
He is survived by his son, Troy (Davetta) Cox; sister, Mary Leveridge; brother, Bill Cox; four grandchildren, Joey Cox, Troy Cox, Brandon Cox and Tanner Ballard; eight great-grandchildren; and fiancé, Loretta Mercer.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Cox; brothers, Silas Cox, Elmer Cox, Dan Cox, Paul Cox, and J.D. Cox; sister, Eula Howard, Ann L. Kennedy, and Louise Roberts.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with visitation from 11:00 am to the time of service. Harold Wilson will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
