Douglas Lee Powell, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Indiana Heart Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on March 29, 1933 in Moline, Idaho to Lloyd and Olive (Branstrator) Powell.
Douglas worked as a Master Mechanic for Godfrey's before retiring. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean war.
He is survived by son, Jack Powell of Lapel; daughter, Dee Platacis of Franklin; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
