Douglas L. "Doug" Presley Sr., 64, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his home. He was born on January 8, 1952 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Doug was a 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring as Master Sergeant, and also worked for Navient (Sallie Mae) for the past fifteen years. He was active in church leadership, technology support, and various other church ministries. Doug will be especially missed by his loving family, and his faithful friends. After a lengthy battle with cancer, he will be remembered for his incredible wit and tender spirit.
Doug is survived by his wife, Susan Presley; children, Douglas L. (Brooke) Presley Jr., Amy (Tony) Ruiz, Michael (Sheri) Presley, Christopher Presley, and Sarah (Jesse) Corum; grandchildren, Alyssa Cobb, Drew Ruiz, Sean Presley, Aidan Ruiz, Shelby Cobb, Owen Presley, Wade Presley, Bryce Presley, Ella Presley, and Logan Presley; and siblings, Gene Presley, David Frady, and Jackie Frady.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Presley; mother, Audrey (Simpson) Isbell; sister, Betty Loreen; and brother, Jimmy Presley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary Service at 8:00 pm, at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Road in Fishers. Services will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, July 30 at the church, with an additional visitation from 9:30 am to the time of service. Rev. Patrick Click will officiate. Burial will be at New Albany National Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
