Earl Jones

Earl W. Jones, 81, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on September 7, 1933 to Richard and Mattie (Gregg) Jones in Mosheim, Tennessee.
Since 1968, Earl worked as a concrete driver for Builders Concrete, retiring in 2006 after 38 years of service. He was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Noblesville. Earl loved his truck, enjoyed fishing, and loved traveling & going on vacation.
He is survived by his sons, Earl (Jenene) Jones, Jr., Richard Dean (Tracy) Jones, and Michael Allen Jones, all of Sparta, TN; daughter, Roxanna (David) Hitchcock of Sparta, TN; daughters, Joann (Howard) Stearns of IN, Linda Wiles of TX, and Bobbie (Glen) Walters of KY; son-in-law, Dennis Grimes of IN; daughter-in-law, Donna Summers of IN; numerous grandchildren, including Journey Jones, Jadie Jones, Kristy (Bruce) Cunningham, Todd Jones, Jennifer (Michael) Lewis, Joshua Hitchcock, Courtney (Dustin) Holman, and Chelsea Jones; along with several great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Freda Jones; daughter, Ruth Ellen "Dodie" Grimes; sons, Basil "Bug" Summers, Jr., and Glen Summers; and daughter-in-law, Darlene Kay Summers.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 11818 SR 32 East, in Noblesville, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Mark Lowe will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
