Edgar Marion Marsh
Edgar Marion Marsh, 77, of Noblesville (formerly of Moraine, OH), moved on to heaven on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Maple Park Village in Westfield, IN, surrounded by his family. The eldest of three sons, he was born July 7, 1940 to Jacob Warren & Gladys Edna (Morgan) Marsh in Dayton, OH. He was a caring and faithful son.
Ed attended West Carrollton Schools, before a short time in the United States Navy. He then began his career in the 1950's with Dayton Coca-Cola and eventually became a certified Porsche Audi technician where he worked at Century Porsche-Audi, Stuttgart Automotive and later with the White Allen Automotive group in Dayton, OH. Ed was an active member of his community throughout the 1970's and 1980's serving as a baseball coach in both Moraine and West Carrollton and as a long-time member of the board of Parks & Recreation in Moraine. He was a loyal fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns and NASCAR. His hobbies included fishing, movies, drag racing, car shows and spending time with his family. Ed was funny and loved to crack jokes and make people laugh with his sarcastic sense of humor. He had a passion for classic cars and was a known fix-it guy always working on a project.
Ed was a dedicated and loving father of two beautiful daughters, Denise Renee (Marsh) Woolen and Corina Roseanne Marsh. He followed them tirelessly throughout their growing years in their many activities. Ed was a committed and compassionate grandfather to six wonderful grandchildren, Benjamin Perry Gordon IV, Odyssey Adina Gordon, Brittany Megan Sherrard, Samantha Nicole Tewksbary, Marisa Kaitlyn Boyer and Michaelah Re'Ann Woolen. He wholeheartedly supported each of them in all they explored. The mother of his children, Carol Ann Wick, and three beloved great-grandchildren, Felecia Ann Marie Gordon, Jack Taylor Gordon and Lana Elizabeth Banks; and two loyal brothers, Michael Marsh of Miamisburg, OH and Jacob Marsh of Lakeland, Fl, also survive him.
In addition to his parents, his infant son, William Duane Marsh, who was a twin to Corina, precedes him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Miamisburg Assembly of God, 501 Ninth Street, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342.
