Elaine Ferree

Elaine Ferree, 97, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Maple Park Village in Westfield.  She was born on September 23, 1920 to Guy and Amy (Merganthauler) Lloyd in York, Pennsylvania.
Elaine worked as a seamstress and enjoyed bowling, painting, and crafts.  She attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, and was a lifetime member of Grace United Methodist Church in York, PA, where she also served as a lay minister.  Elaine enjoyed sharing her faith and was in charge of crafts at the Camp of the Nations in Pennsylvania.  Most of all, she loved her family, and her favorite saying was, "God bless you real good!"
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Carole Walrod (Ralph); son, Jim Doty (Mary); stepson, Mike Ferree (Sally); stepdaughter, Sandy Perillo (Joe); 7 grandchildren, Amy Heid (Larry), Andrea Mathis (Ronnie), Ralph Walrod (Carlee), Tina Shropshire (Bobby), Rick Walrod (Valerie), Jeremy Doty and Christian Doty (Jessica); 3 step-grandsons, Chris, Mike, Jim; 14 great-grandchildren, Bridgett (Jerry), Garrett, Bryce, Spencer, Mason, Payton, Bray, Cassie, Evan, Sabrina, Keanue, Brayden, Cayden, and June Louise; and five great-great-grandchildren, Amanda, Jerry, Grace, Mary and Ally. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James F. Doty; and her second husband, Edward Ferree.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with visitation from 12:00 noon to the time of service.  Rev. Andrew Charnstrom will officiate.  Burial will be at Carmel Cemetery in Carmel.  A memorial service will be held at Nora Commons on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Charles Bradford will officiate.
