Elizabeth (Betty) Rose Cottingham, 105, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She was born on May 9, 1916 in Detroit, Michigan, the only child of Richard McDonald Burton and Rose (Bauml) Burton.
Betty worked in the trust department for Manufactures National Bank, Oakland Trust Office in Birmingham, Michigan. She was a member of the Twelve Oaks Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association of Royal Oak, Michigan and was awarded the Business Women of the Year in 1980. In Englewood, Florida, Betty was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for her valuable contribution to FISH of Englewood, Florida. She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Venice, Florida. Betty enjoyed knitting and traveling, and loved playing bridge and doing crossword puzzles. In her earlier years, she enjoyed dancing and golfing.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Kinzie; three grandchildren, Lisa Patricia Baldwin, Jodi Lynn (Christian) Albert, and Brian Douglas (Mariella) Kinzie; three great-grandchildren, Christian Douglas Carlyle Albert, Vivienne Elizabeth Kinzie Albert, and Bianca Elizabeth Kinzie; stepson, Joel (Barb) Cottingham; step-grandchildren, Tammy (Michael) Ternes, Michael (Trisha) Cottingham, and Jason (Adrienne) Cottingham; and step-great grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Julian, Andréa, Landyn, Grant and Sydney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John H. Baldwin; second husband, Albert W. Cottingham; son, John H. Baldwin II; and granddaughter, Jennifer Leslie Baldwin Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Rosa Parks Chapel, Woodlawn Cemetery, in Detroit, Michigan.
