Ellen Marie (Schori) Boscher, 72, of Noblesville, IN passed away August 15, 2009 following a long and dignified battle with cancer. She was born August 22, 1936 to the late Ward and Margaret Schori. After graduating from Evanston High School in 1954, she attended the University of Illinois. She and her loving husband, Don, recently celebrated 53 years of marriage. Following their marriage in 1956, they lived in Evanston, IL, Danville, IL, and then 33 years in Fairview, PA, where they raised their three children. While in Fairview, Ellen was the owner and proprietor of Chestnut Place, a local Hallmark card and gift shop. In more recent years, she enjoyed multiple hobbies including golf, knitting, crocheting and building model planes and boats. She was known as the 'Scrubbie Lady' at the Noblesville Farmers Market. She and Don enjoyed traveling in their motor home and spending winters in Florida. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Noblesville.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Donald H. Boscher of Noblesville, IN; loving children, Karen M. (Tom) Whisler of Carmel, IN, David H. (Lisa) Boscher of Phoenixville, PA, and Kathryn M. (David) Utley of Redwood, CA; eight grandchildren, Lindsay, Lauren and Michael Whisler, Nathan Boscher, and Alek, Haley, MacKenzie and Emma Utley; siblings, Richard M. (Katherine) Schori of Henderson, NV, Mary M. (Jack) Dammann of Loves Park, IL, Ruth A. Carrell of Richmond, TX, John W. (Barbara) Schori of Elgin, IL, and Carl M. Schori of Nevada City, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St, Noblesville, IN, from 4:30-7:30PM. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009 at First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument St, Noblesville, IN at 11:00AM.
