Eric K. Sutherland

Eric K. Sutherland, 61, of Gilmer, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, TX.  He was born on January 7, 1958 to Benny and Sharon (Dellinger) Sutherland in Elwood, Indiana.

Eric was graduate of Tipton High School in Tipton, Indiana and worked as a heavy equipment operator.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Eric loved being outside and camping with his kids.  He also liked to hang out with his friends.

Eric is survived by his mother, Sharon L. Sutherland of Gilmer, TX; siblings, Victoria R. Sutherland of Gilmer, TX, Melinda L. (Greg) Sampson of Windfall, IN, Mark A. (Brandy) Sutherland of Anderson, IN, and Jerry L. (Norma) Sutherland of Gladewater, TX; children, Haley (Jon) Cormier of Mountain View, AR, Aron K. Sutherland of Concord, AR, and Amanda Sutherland of Heber Springs, AR; two grandchildren, Steven & Luc; seven nieces & nephews; 13 great-nieces & -nephews; and his wife, Holly Sutherland of Concord, AR.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Benny Sutherland; and grandparents, Donald & Rosella Dellinger and Burley & Jessie Sutherland.

A funeral service was held on March 23, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church in Gladewater, TX, with David McGee officiating.  A Celebration of Life will be held April 6, 2019 in Corcord, AR.  Burial will be at 10:00 am on April 13, 2019 at Macedonia Cemetery in Drasco, AR.
