Esther Horney

Esther Mae Horney,100, of Carmel, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Clare Bridge of Carmel. She was born on September 1, 1911 to Perry and Myrtie (Mayfield) Stuart in Hamilton County, Indiana.
Esther worked as a Homemaker. She was a member of Hortonville Friends Church in Sheridan and was also a member of the Hamilton County Home Ec Club.
She is survived by son, Gordon (Victoria) Horney of Westfield; daughters, Nancy Chapman of Indianapolis and Linda Makowski of Drayton Plains, MI; two sisters, Cecilia Paddack & Alice Stewart both of Westfield; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Merrill Horney who passed in 1984; and her brother, Robert Stuart.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Randall & Roberts Westfield Road Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville with visitation from 2:00-4:00p.m. prior to service. Pastor Marilyn Bell will officiate. Burial will be at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield.
