Ethel Gibson

Ethel Alberta Gibson , 94, of Westfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Copper Trace in Westfield.  She was born on July 23, 1926 to Walter and Martha (Broberg) Kauck in Chicago, Illinois.

Prior to starting a family with her husband, George, Ethel worked at the Chicago Board of Trade and other companies based in Chicago. She was then a homemaker, Girl Scout leader, and school room mother for many years. When her daughters were approaching college age, Ethel returned to work to help them pay for their tuition. Ethel was a member of Christ’s Community Church in Fishers.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura Gibson and Barbara Gibson (Keith Potter).

In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Gibson in 2020; infant daughter, Deborah Gibson; and her sisters, Elaine Arcus & Lucille Evans.

Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois at a later date.  Ethel's care has been entrusted to Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes.
