Eva James Bailey

Eva James Bailey, 95, of Westfield, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her home at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers. She was born on March 26, 1920, one of seven children of James and Bertha (Ivestor) Roby in Newman Grove, Nebraska. She graduated in 1938 from Anderson High School.
Eva worked at Kingan's Meat Packing in Indianapolis, and for Firestone Industrial Products in Noblesville as a key-punch operator. Eva finished her working career as a medical assistant for Dr. Ralph Leser in Indianapolis. A vacation trip to Hawaii with her husband of 43 years, Bill James, was a special experience they both remembered for the rest of their lives. Eva was a member of First Church of God, where she played piano and was active in choir, youth leadership, and in the new church building committee. She was also past president of the Noblesville Senior Citizen's Organization, and an active member of the Sing-A-Longs. Eva was once proudly crowned Hamilton County Senior Queen. She was a born-again Christian who loved the Lord, and has now gone to be with Him forever.
Eva is survived by her sons, Ronald Pouch of Noblesville, Frederick James of Indianapolis, and David (Andrea) James of Westfield; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jesse Pouch, William "Bill" James, and Francis Bailey; and daughters-in-law, Wanda James and Patricia Pouch.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Visitation will be Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home, plus one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
