Eva Sophia Goble, 95, of Noblesville passed peacefully into the Lord's embrace on Friday, October 24, 2008 in Noblesville. She was born July 20, 1913 in Hamilton County, Indiana, the daughter of Ola C. & Jessie (Males) Musselman.
Eva was a 1931 graduate of Noblesville High School. Following her high school graduation, she worked as a secretary at the local J.C. Penney Co. until having children. She later worked for the local Agriculture Stabilization Committee (ASC) office until retirement.
She was a member of the Noblesville First Christian Church for over 70 years. She served as secretary of the First Christian Church Board for nearly 35 years. She also served as a president of the Christian Women's Fellowship.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester E. Goble; a son, Rex A. Goble; two sisters, Alma Bennett and Mary Boram; and three brothers, Harry Musselman, Marvin Musselman and Oscar Musselman.
She is survived by her loving family, including son, Ronald (Kathy) Goble of Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren, Jeffrey (Tracy) Goble of Scottsdale, AZ, Cecily (Lance) Shea of Falls Church, VA, Todd (Maria) Goble of Cincinnati, OH, Molly (David) Baker of Westfield, IN, Heidi (Christopher) Kurash of Phoenix, AZ, and Christian (LaDan) Goble of Phoenix, AZ; 10 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, Hillary, Kallen, Nicholas, Olivia, William, Jacob, Elijah, and Daniel; two siblings, Wayne (Helen) Musselman and Ruth Teeters; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, October 31, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Noblesville, with Rev. Glenn Kimball officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 30 from 5:00-8:00PM at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
