Floyd Lee Odle, 98, Noblesville, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born October 1, 1910 in Williamsport, Indiana to William and Nellie (Brooks) Odle.
Floyd was a WWII Army veteran. He had worked for more than 40 years at the Noblesville Ledger (when it was still family owned), retiring in 1975.
He was a past Master and a member of the Masonic Lodge #57 in Noblesville. He loved antique cars and could fix anything. Floyd and his wife, Maxine, used to walk to Clancy's for coffee every morning for more than 20 years.
He is survived by nephews, Ronald Odle, Jim (& Jo) Odle, & R. Duane (& Yean) Odle; great-nephews, Geoffrey (& Robin) Odle, Stuart (& Sharon) Odle, & Ian Odle; great-niece, Julie (& Todd) Zeck; great-nephew, J. Duane (& Erika) Odle; and great-niece, Ashley Odle.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Odle; and a brother, Wilbur Odle.
Services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Rev. Richard D. Bell officiating. Friends may call Sunday, from 1:00 - 3:00PM prior to the service. A private family burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
