Floyd R. Winkler, 89, Fishers, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at his home in Fishers. He was born July 3, 1920 in Patricksburg, Indiana to David Clark and Gladys Irene (Fullen) Winkler.
Floyd had retired from Ford Motor Company. He attended First Church of Nazarene in Noblesville. Floyd served in the United States Air Force and was also a lifetime member of Fishers American Legion Lowell Beaver Post 470.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Winkler of Fishers; two sons, Stephen (Donna) Winkler, and David Winkler; one daughter, Jeanette Winkler; one brother, Jerry (Lynn) Winkler; nine grandchildren, Stephen Winkler, Nicole Eckerty, Jennifer Crouch, Leslie Winkler, Lindsay Wade, Ryan Smoot, Kelli Kimbrell, Toby Mallery and Ashley Mallery and 20 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Teresa Winkler Celarek; three brothers, Clayton, Howard and Lloyd Winkler, and one sister, Madge Winkler.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, with Pastor James McGuffey officiating. Friends may call Friday, October 16, 4:00 - 8:00PM at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.
