Forrest "Woody" Earl Brown Jr., 81, of Noblesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2017 at his home with his daughters by his side. He was born on August 2, 1936 to Forest and Maxine (Lane) Brown in Fortville, Indiana. Forrest proudly serviced his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He married Marian Russ on April 29, 1960. Woody started B&C Fabricating in 1972, and retired in 1992. He enjoyed his later years of retirement with his wife until she passed away in 2016. Woody was a member of the Noblesville American Legion for 9 years, and enjoyed coin collecting and visiting Carmack's Cigar Shop in Noblesville. He was a member of United Family Wesleyan Church where he was baptized on Easter of this year. Woody is survived by his daughters, Rebecca (Donald) Ellis and Nora (Brian) Light; grandchildren, Kayla (Greg) Kehl, Brandon Brooks, Donald Ellis II, Brianna Jo Light, Heather Abner, and Stacy Barker; great-grandchildren, Waylon Whisman and Kloey Girtman; brother, Joe William (Marlys) Burris; nephew, Joe William Burris II; niece, Mandy Clark; and his beloved dog, Sophie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Marian I. Brown. Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation from 12:00 noon to the time of service. Pastor Allen Gross will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville. Memorial contributions may be made to K9s for Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Road, Ponte Vedra, Florida 32081.
