Frances Wise

Frances S. Wise, 92, Noblesville, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born October 29, 1917 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Frances was a 1935 graduate of Arcadia High School; and a licensed beautician. She wrote a bowling column for the Noblesville Times & Ledger newspapers until she retired at 90 years old. She had also worked at the Noblesville Senior Citizens Recycling Center for 22 years and helped with an Indianapolis News route for 15 years.
Her memberships and achievements include Noblesville Womens Bowling Association (Hall of Fame 1989 & past-president of 11 years), National Women's Bowling Writers, Noblesville Senior Citizens Organization, Fine Arts Society, Golden K Kiwanis, Indiana Bowling Writer of the Year (1988 Katheryn Hotzel Award), Hoosier Women's Bowling Writer Award, Indiana State Women's Bowling Association (1995 Hall of Fame), Hamilton County Older Women of the Year 1995, Key to the City of Noblesville 1995, and Hamilton County Junior Golf Championship '1998 Outstanding Service Award'.
She is survived by son, Ken Wise of California, five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating. Friends may call Friday, beginning at 10:00AM prior to the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Noblesville.
