Fred J. Snoke, 87, of Charlotte, NC and formerly of Westfield, IN, passed away at home on Friday, February 22, 2013. He was born on July 30, 1925 to Fred and Gertrude (Cox) Snoke in Lebanon, Indiana. His parents preceded him in death along with his first wife, Patricia (Brock) Snoke and a second wife, Georgia (Crockett) Snoke.
Fred proudly served his country as a member of the US Army, serving in World War II, with honorable discharge in 1946. He retired in 1991, after working for Pittman-Moore for 20 years, and then with Blue Lustre in Indianapolis, for an additional 20 years; and was a member of Central Christian Church in Carmel and the VFW in Westfield.
He is survived by daughters, Sherry (John) Alexander and Elizabeth (Jim) McColgin; a son, Raymond (LaVonne) Snoke; step-daughters, Lydia (Gary) Miller and Linda (Vincent) Stevens; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 1, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am immediately prior to services. Pastor Richard Clark will officiate. Burial will be at Eagle Creek Cemetery in Westfield.
