Gary Dukes

Gary Dukes, 60, of Lynwood, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Franciscan Saint Margaret Health in Dyer, Indiana.  He was born on May 24, 1963 to Jack and Georgie Edith (Stacey) Dukes in Chicago, Illinois.

Gary had almost 30 years of service for the Cook County Dept. of Corrections.  He was an avid Chicago sports team lover (Bulls, Bears, and most of all, Cubs).  Gary was a collector of action figures and comic books.  He had a great sense of humor and was an animal whisperer.  Gary was very generous, loved his family, and was the best Grandpa.

He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Dukes, Michelle (James) Dukes, and Donna Dukes; grandson, Myles; brother, Kenneth Dukes; sister, Donna M. Kaup; nieces, Virginia and Kayci; nephews, Chad and JR; and his former wife, Donna Turner.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Andrew Dukes; sister, Rhoda Dukes; and his brother, Jackie Lee Dukes.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with services at 2:00 pm, on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville.  Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Noblesville.
