Gary Lee Orton

Gary Lee Orton, 77, of Carmel, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at his home.  He was born on January 23, 1947 in Findlay, Ohio.

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was an automotive designer who designed Coach busses.  Gary was a great brother & uncle who looked after his sister.  He had a great sense of humor and was always joking.

Gary is survived by his sister, Sherrie Dodd; brother, Paul Orton; as well as several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Herbert Orton; his mother, Mary Ann (Walsh) Skeehan; and his step-father, Ray Skeehan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with services at 7:00 pm, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers.  Burial will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
