Gayle A. Jones-Burris

Gayle Jones-Burris, 66, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 her home.  She was born on December 29, 1956 in Michigan City, Indiana.

Gayle graduated in 1975 from Elston High School in Michigan City and graduated from Ball State University in 1979 with a degree in journalism. She started her newspaper career in the California San Francisco Bay area and then in 1991 started at the Anderson Herald Bulletin. Also, during her time in Anderson, she was the executive director of the Paramount Historical Theater from 2008-2014.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Burris; mother, Wanda (Smeltz) Jones; daughter, Meghan Burris (Beckett Zumbrun); brothers, John Jones, Michael Jones, and Mark Jones; several nieces and nephews; many dear friends; and beloved dogs Lucy, Sadie, China, and Trigger.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Jones.

Private family services will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
