Lowell "Gene" Frick, 88, Carmel, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Carmel St. Vincent Hospital. He was born August 21, 1920 in Illinois to John William and Lillian (Sanders) Frick.
Gene was a cook with the C.C.C.'s during WWII. He worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator for Bradberry Construction for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the First Church of God in Noblesville. Gene enjoyed gardening and loved being a Den Leader for the Boy Scouts.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Frick; son, Robert (Norma) Frick; daughter, Karen (Ted) Maines; son, Garry (Diana) Frick; son, Terry Frick; son, Jerry (Linda) Lamaster; son, Ivan (Dolores) Lamaster; daughter, Shirley Campbell; son, Bruce (Barb) Lamaster; son, Mark (Thelma) Lamaster; sister, Kathryn Summers; 30 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. Also, several nieces and nephews and other extended family survive.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Ruth Frick; four brothers; and a sister.
Services will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at First Church of God in Noblesville, with Pastor Jerry Hilligoss officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, May 5, 6:00 - 8:00PM at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville. Burial will be at Cicero Cemetery.
