Geneva F. Thompson, 97, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born on April 5, 1915 to Fred and Grace (Kutz) Thompson in Zionsville, Indiana.
Geneva was a veteran of Women's Army Corps, serving in WWII, during the Battle of the Bulge. She received her Bachelor's degree from Indiana University. She was a Registered Cytotechnologist retiring in 1978. After retirement, she worked as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed her family & friends.
She is survived by sister, Katheryn F. Thompson of Noblesville; sister-in-law, Kay Thompson of Anderson; brother, Harold (Virginia) Thompson of Noblesville; brother, Arnold (Rayelda) Thompson of Phoenix, Arizona; nephews, Greg, David, Robert, Stanley, and Fred; nieces, Janet, Susan, Theresa, and Kathy; several great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Keith Thompson and Bernard Thompson; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Thompson.
A Celebration of Life memorial service for Geneva will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at the Noblesville Senior's Citizens Organization in Noblesville (across the street from Noblesville High School). Following the memorial service, food and drinks will be served at the Thompson home at 511 South Harbor Drive in Noblesville.
