For the past 60 years George was renowned as one of the finest gunsmiths in the country, and he continued working at his craft until the day of his death. George was also known for his sweet pickles, and anyone who knew him was bound to have been given a jar of his infamous gherkins. George was an avid gardener and especially loved his summer tomato plants. He took great pride in the care of his yard and summer flowers although he disliked having to water them. He loved big-band and classical music, traveling with his family, shopping for his wife, and trying new restaurants.
