George A. Reynolds

George A. Reynolds, Sr., 87, Noblesville, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at home with his family. He was born September 5, 1921 in Mitchell, Indiana to Henry and Sophia (Frye) Reynolds.
George started as a Union cement concrete finisher before he started his own business, George Reynolds & Sons Concrete. Retiring from his business, he then worked part-time in sales at Beaver Ready Mix, before retiring again and moving to Florida.
George served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Woodville Baptist Church in Mitchell, Indiana and attended the First Baptist Church of Trenton, Florida. George was a lifetime member of the Noblesville American Legion and Moose Lodge, and was also a member of the Plasters & Cement Finishers Union.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara Ann Absher of Noblesville; daughter and caregiver, Kandice Lanterman of Noblesville; son, Daris (Winona) Reynolds of Noblesville; son, George A. (Nelta) Reynolds, Jr. of Noblesville; brother, Donald E. Reynolds of Westfield; twelve grandchildren; and thirty great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary I. (Warren) Reynolds, who passed away December 10, 1995.
Services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville. Friends may call Tuesday, December 16, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Trenton Cemetery in Trenton, Florida.
