Gerald George Hill, 86, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at his home. He was born on December 14, 1938 to Winston and Lucille (Mascoe) Hill in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jerry graduated from Carmel High School in 1956 and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He began a 38-year career with the Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) at Fort Harrison, retiring in 1994. Jerry was very civil-minded, being active in the HAM radio club, and volunteering with Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services (RACES) and with the Emergency Management of Hamilton County. He also enjoyed woodworking and made beautiful custom high-end furniture.
An avid outdoorsman, Jerry enjoyed cross-country motorcycle touring until he was 78 years old. He loved traveling off the beaten path of the National Parks, and enjoyed his 2-week family vacations every year. Jerry lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife, Phroncia Hill; daughter, Cheryl Sloan; son, Damon Hill; sister, Karen Swinford; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Gordon Hill; and his sister, Judy Smith.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with services at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Rev. Richard D. Bell will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 197 South 9th Street, Noblesville, IN 46060; or your favorite charity.
