Geraldine E. "Gerry" Dalton

Geraldine "Gerry" Dalton, 93, of Fishers, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers. She was born on April 5, 1923 to Walter and Lucy (Dankowski) Nowacki in Dunkirk, New York.
Geraldine proudly served her country in the United States Navy during World War II at Pearl Harbor. She worked as a secretary for the VA in Syracuse, NY, and then for the Soil Conservation Service of the US Dept. of Agriculture. Geraldine was a former member of St. James Catholic Church.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Michael (Mary) Dalton; granddaughters, Kathleen (Aaron) McLane and Ann (Brian) Duffy; and great-granddaughter, Lucille Duffy.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Dalton, in 1991; four sisters; and two brothers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 24, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church, 4845 South Salina Street, Syracuse, NY, with visitation one hour prior. Reverend Christopher Ballard will officiate. Burial will be at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Syracuse.
